Prisoners Have Facebook Accounts?

You’ve heard of people listing their Facebook status as “in a relationship.”

But now Facebook is working with law enforcement in California to weed out those whose status could rightfully read “in a penitentiary.” The social networking site has agreed to remove accounts that have been set up by inmates or posted on their behalf. The reason: prisoners have been using their Facebook accounts to stalk victims and run criminal activities. Authorities say one thing making the problem worse these days is the use of smartphones that are smuggled into prison for inmates’ use.
