If you were holding out for Sony’s latest hand-held game system for Christmas — you’ll have to hold out a little longer.
Sony says the PlayStation Vita won’t be going on sale in the U.S. or Europe in time for Christmas. And that’s a disappointment since the holidays are a key sales time for game-console makers. There had been hopes that Sony would have the unit ready for the year-end holiday season. But Sony officials now say the Vita won’t be ready in the U.S. and Europe until early next year. The plan is still for the device to go on sale by the end of the year in Japan.
