Hulu Wants To Get Creative

Hulu — it’s not just for reruns anymore.

The online video service that primarily shows repeats from broadcasters says it is now making a foray into original programming. In the first of several projects, the company teamed up with Morgan Spurlock on a project called “A Day in the Life.” The show is six half-hour episodes where filmmakers follow famous people around and report on what they do. Spurlock is the same documentary maker who did “Super Size Me.” The effort is similar to one recently by Netflix, which bought the rights to “House of Cards,” a first-run series.
