Microsoft Says “Sorry” For Whinehouse Tweet

A Missouri congressman and Microsoft’s British division caught heat after tweeting about singer Amy Winehouse’s death.

Republican Congressman Billy Long tweeted Monday, “No one could reach Amy Winehouse before it was too late. Can anyone reach Washington before it’s too late? Both addicted – same fate???” He apologized and said he thinks overspending is an addiction but he meant no disrespect to Winehouse. Microsoft’s Tweetbox360 tweeted Monday, “Remember Amy Winehouse by downloading the ground-breaking ‘Back to Black’ over at Zune.” It later apologized for seeming commercially motivated and offered condolences to her family.
