Watching a Netflix flick will cost some customers more money.
The company is increasing its cheapest movie-rental plan price by about 60 percent. Gone are the days of unlimited online movie watching and DVD rental for nine-dollars-99-cents per month. Netflix will now charge about 16-dollars for a similar plan. Internet-only and DVD-only plans will be split. Each will cost about eight-dollars per month. Netflix officials say the changes will give customers a choice of watching movies on the Internet or on DVD. The price changes are immediate for new customers and start in September for existing customers.
