Facebook users can now talk with their friends face to face over the website.
The popular social networking site has added the ability to make user-to-user video calls. Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg unveiled the new service yesterday at the company’s headquarters in Palo Alto, California. The videoconferencing comes courtesy of Skype. The new service is available immediately. It could be a real coup for Skype, which could expand on its current base of 145-million regular users. Zuckerberg said Facebook currently has a user base of around 750 million.
