China warns Google that its actions could be bad for business.
The cautionary words are published in the overseas edition of the Chinese Communist Party’s newspaper. In the paper, Google is called a “political tool.” The comment is an apparent reference to a cyber attack on senior U.S. government Gmail accounts. Google says it traced the hackers to China. However, the U.S. government and Google have not directly accused the Chinese of being involved. Google does business in China and at times has had a strained relationship with its government.
