Consumers may soon have a new way to listen to digital music.
Apple Chief Executive Officer Steve Jobs is expected to introduce the iCloud online storage service today in a rare appearance at the company’s annual developers conference in San Francisco. Users will be able to wirelessly share and stream music on Apple devices such as the iPhone or iPad. The new service will make it easier for users to access content directly from the Internet without downloading it. It’s expected to help Apple continue to rule the smartphone and tablet markets as competition emerges from devices powered by Google’s Android software.
