Wall Street will no doubt be keeping an eye on LinkedIn today.
Shares in the professional networking website more than doubled yesterday on the first day of trading for its initial public offering. They opened the day at 45 dollars and closed at 94 dollars and 25 cents on the New York Stock Exchange. LinkedIn had raised its share price range by ten-dollars earlier in the week in a sign of expected investor interest in social networking companies. And it looks like they may have been right as the company has sold about eight million shares so far at 45 dollars each.
