The new Apple iPad is taking a bite out of PC sales.
Hewlett-Packard’s computer sales fell by 23-percent last quarter. Rival company Dell saw its’ market share drop by over seven-percent. Industry analysts say Apple’s tablet is revolutionizing the consumer market. The company has sold nearly 20-million since introducing the tablet in 2010. The company expects sales will top 70-million this year. Hewlett-Packard plans to deliver a tablet called the TouchPad later this year. Intel is busy redesigning its computer chips to work better with hand-held devices.
