People Didn’t Get Their Digital Coupons

TV ownership in the U.S. could drop for the first time in 20 years.

Forecast numbers from the Nielsen Company show an expected fall of more than two-percent next year. Right now nearly 99-percent of all homes have a television. The company blames the 2009 switch from analog to digital signals and the shift to other devices like tablet and computers to watch TV. More people are also “cutting the cord” to their cable or satellite services. Updated numbers are expected later in the summer.
