A robot is set to throw out the first pitch when the Philadelphia Phillies host the Milwaukee Brewers later on today.
Nicknamed Philliebot, the robot was built over two months by engineers at the University of Pennsylvania. Today’s first pitch is part of Science Day at the ball park. Don’t look for Philliebot to be replacing any major league hurlers just yet. By design, it’s fastball is only between 30 and 40 miles an hour.
