Feds Looking At Sneaky Apps

Feds are investigating smartphone apps which may have leaked personal information from users.

The “Wall Street Journal” reports federal prosecutors are taking a look at whether makers fully described the type of data their apps were transmitting. Such a violation would be a violation of computer fraud laws. The popular Internet radio app Pandora is being called on the carpet. The company says it has received a subpeona but was not a target in the investigation.
